Why isn't the SSD recognized?

  1. If you're using it for the first time, format the SSD.
  2. If the operating system fails to recognize the SSD but it appears in the BIOS, select "Security Erase" from the BIOS menu, then restart the system.
    Note:
    a.
    The "Security Erase" function may not be available in all motherboard BIOS settings.
    b. Performing a Security Erase will delete all data on the SSD.
  3. Test the SSD on another platform.
