Why couldn’t Elite detect my external hard drive / solid state drive?

Category : Specification / Capacity / Performance

If your external hard drive / solid state drive could be read and written normally under Windows but could not be detected by Elite, this might be caused by Windows "Storage Space / Storage Pool".

If you have previously set up a "Storage Space / Storage Pool", Windows will create a virtual disc space named "Microsoft Storage Space Device".

This virtual disk space will restrain Elite from being able to detect your external hard drive / solid state drive.

Therefore, should you encounter such circumstance; we recommend that you delete the "Storage Space / Storage Pool".

Elite should then be able to detect your external hard drive or SSD normally.
