The platform cannot recognize my PCIe Gen.III x4 M.2 SSD and the SSD is burnt.

Category : Specification / Capacity / Performance
Currently there are two types of notch designs for the M.2 SSD:

1. B key design

2. M key design

Transcend's PCIe M.2 SSDs utilize the M-key design, and are thus only compatible with M.2 connector with only an M key.

If a user incorrectly inserts a PCIe M.2 SSD with an M key to a platform that only supports B key
by flipping the M
-key SSD over, the SSD could get burnt quickly.

Note: If the host platform is equipped with a B-key slot, please use a Transcend SATA III M.2 SSD or a B+M key product.
